Amateur Traveler talks to travel blogger Candice Walsh about St Johns and her home province of Newfoundland (and Labrador).

Candice says, “In my opinion, Newfoundland is maybe the most underrated unappreciated province in Canada because a lot of people won’t take the time to come here but it is definitely the most unique province in Canada. People come to St John’s to meet people, to soak up the culture and then they head west for Gross Morne National Park, epic nature, and scenic views. Central Newfoundland has a lot of icebergs and whales and that sort of thing so each region in Newfoundland has a distinctly different setting.”

“St John’s is a really great city. It’s small, there’s only about 150,000 people here but it is a very fun city. There is a lot of nightlife, lot’s of art and music going on here.”
